JOB DESCRIPTION: Analyze data to assist revenue cycle leaders in revenue management. Prepares and maintains annual operating budget for the Revenue Cycle Departments. Captures key performance indicators and other suggestions for improvement and decision support. Reports key statistical data regarding vendor partners, tracks their performance, and provides actionable work plans and recommendations around revenue cycle improvements.
Works closely with stakeholders from different functional units on topics, including billing, charge capture, coding, edit/denial management, and/or self-pay management.
Summarizes our monthly expense as within revenue cycle to ensure budget compliance.
Works with manager to formulate plan for professional development. Attends educational inservices as appropriate.
Works with Revenue Cycle leaders to maintain position control reports for staffing patterns. Assists in documentation of department policy and procedures for Revenue Cycle. Prepares detailed reports as needed to assist leaders in cash and a/r reporting.
Meets with all levels of management to review Revenue Cycle Data. Serves as primary contact with all contracted vendors. Reviews invoicing from vendors to manage performance.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field and three (3) years experience with revenue cycle functions; OR seven (7) years of experience with revenue cycle functions; OR successful completion of The Emory Clinic's Operations Development Program (ODP).
