JOB DESCRIPTION: This position leads and directs section sponsored revenue cycle functions that include charge capture, coding, and edit/denial management; manages section based resources, aligning them with best-in-class performance metrics in specific categories of revenue cycle (productivity, compliance, accuracy, effectiveness, and efficiency). The position has a matrix reporting relationship with Patient Financial Services (PFS) as well as Administration for the assigned Sections. The position will have Revenue Cycle responsibility for multiple Sections. The role is responsible for establishing, meeting and exceeding operational work flow, productivity and results standards related to the above functions; participates in the development and implementation of a Clinic-wide revenue cycle integration model that coordinates and aligns the resources deployed to revenue cycle functions across the section(s) in efforts to build consistency of work flow and optimization of resources. The position also organizes, manages, and monitors the performance productivity of staff in revenue cycle roles.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in related field or healthcare required, Master's degree strongly preferred. With Bachelor's, minimum of 7 years related experience, ambulatory setting preferred; With Master's, minimum of 5 years related experience, ambulatory setting preferred. Minimum requirement of 3 years supervisory/manager experience. Experience with revenue cycle functions, preferably in both the shared service and clinical Section environments. Experience with ambulatory care environments and ability to translate and embed standard operating procedures and process into the clinical environment where appropriate.
