Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Director of Media Strategy to design and operationalize an enterprise paid media ecosystem that advances brand equity, accelerates demand generation, strengthens competitive positioning, and delivers measurable financial impact.

Emory Healthcare is scaling its enterprise brand, modernizing its digital ecosystem, and sharpening its competitive positioning. Paid media must evolve from campaign execution to enterprise growth infrastructure. This role will define how Emory invests, measures, scales, and wins in an increasingly competitive healthcare marketplace. This is not simply a media leadership role - it is a strategic growth engine position responsible for translating enterprise priorities into full-funnel, performance-driven investment strategies.

 

Primary duties and responsibilities:

Leadership & Organizational Transformation:

1. Lead and mentor high-performing team.

2. Champion AI adoption and modern ad-tech capabilities.

3. Design scalable operating models that support enterprise growth.

 

Enterprise Authority & Impact:

1. Serve as the enterprise authority on paid media strategy, investment allocation, and performance optimization.

2. Align media investment with Emory Healthcare's three- and five-year growth ambitions.

3. Operationalize brand architecture within media systems, ensuring consistency and scale.

4. Drive measurable NOI/ROI improvement through advanced measurement and disciplined optimization.

5. Elevate Emory Healthcare's competitive position nationally and regionally.

 

Enterprise Media Strategy & Growth Alignment:

1. Architect a multi-year paid media strategy aligned to system growth pillars.

2. Translate enterprise priorities into clear investment frameworks by channel and audience.

3. Implement a full-funnel model balancing brand building and demand generation.

4. Pilot emerging channels, AI-enabled tools, automation, and personalization capabilities.

5. Anticipate competitive and market shifts and proactively adjust strategy.

 

Investment Stewardship & Performance Optimization:

1. Manage the day-to-day operations of financial counseling services, optimizing workflows and resource allocation to enhance patient access and service delivery.

2. Monitor and analyze performance metrics and implement quality improvement initiatives to improve patient satisfaction and financial outcomes.

3. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and execute on improvement projects Advanced

 

Measurement & Financial Accountability:

1. Define enterprise measurement standards including MMM, attribution, and brand lift.

2. Translate performance data into investment decisions that improve NOI/ROI.

3. Build executive-ready dashboards and performance narratives.

 

Brand Governance & Media Integration:

1. Operationalize brand standards within media processes and campaign development.

2. Serve as the bridge between brand strategy and activation.

3. Maintain alignment with compliance and digital governance standards.

 

Cross-Functional & Clinical Partnership:

1. Partner with Integrated Marketing team to translate clinical priorities into scalable demand strategies.

2. Integrate paid media with owned and earned channels for cohesive audience journeys.

3. Support access expansion and digital front door strategies.

Additional Duties as Assigned.

 

Travel: Less than 10% of the time may be required.

 

Work Type: Hybrid employee - splits time between working remotely and working in the office.

 

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business, or related field.
  • Experience:7 years of related experience with 5 years of progressive leadership in integrated paid media or performance marketing. Experience managing enterprise-scale, multi-channel media ecosystems.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 
    • Demonstrated ROI accountability across multimillion-dollar budgets. -
    • Advanced analytical and executive communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications Experience:

  • Experience leading transformation initiatives in academic healthcare or highly matrixed environments. Demonstrated ability to build systems and frameworks from the ground up.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (Medium Max 25lbs): up to 25 lbs., 0-33% of the work day (occasionally) Lifting 25 lbs. max; Carrying of objects up to 25 lbs.; Occasional to frequent standing & walking, Occasional sitting, Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing), Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.

Environmental exposures include but are not limited to: Blood-borne pathogen exposure, Bio-hazardous waste chemicals/gases/fumes/vapors, Communicable diseases, Electrical shock, Floor Surfaces, Hot/Cold Temperatures, Indoor/Outdoor conditions, Latex, Lighting, Patient care/handling injuries, Radiation, Shift work, Travel may be required. Use of personal protective equipment, including respirators, environmental conditions may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.
