The Mgr, Epic Revenue Cycle Instructional Design provides supervisory leadership and strategic direction for Revenue Cycle instructional design at Emory Healthcare. This role leads a team of Epic Revenue Cycle Instructional Designers, ensures consistency and quality across curriculum and training environments, and serves as the senior escalation point for complex workflow or training issues. The Lead balances people leadership with hands-on execution in curriculum development, environment management, and enterprise alignment with Revenue Cycle operations, Emory Digital, and Quality Assurance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervisory & Team Leadership:
- Provide direct supervision, coaching, and performance management for Instructional Designers.
- Ensure Instructional Designers effectively develop and support Credentialed Instructors within assigned areas.
- Set expectations for responsiveness, quality, operational alignment, and standardization across the team.
- Mentor team members in workflow depth, stakeholder management, and instructional design practices.
Training Governance & Quality Oversight:
- Review/approve curriculum and training environment build to ensure accuracy, consistency, and standardization.
- Establish and enforce standards for tone, documentation, version control, and delivery expectations.
- Coordinate cross-training and knowledge sharing to reduce silos and single points of failure.
Operational & Application Partnership:
- Act as primary liaison between RC Training, operational leadership, and Emory Digital application teams.
- Ensure training impacts are considered in workflow design, build decisions, and optimization initiatives.
- Serve as escalation point for complex workflow/training issues and resolve proactively.
Strategic Planning & Continuous Improvement:
- Provide guidance on adult learning methodology and performance improvement strategies.
- Partner with QA to identify enterprise performance trends and develop remediation/refresher education strategies.
- Support planning and execution for Epic upgrades, optimization efforts, and major enterprise initiatives impacting training. Additional Duties As Assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of healthcare experience in lieu of degree.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in training/instructional design/QA; demonstrated leadership/mentoring experience.
- Certification: Epic Revenue Cycle certification required.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (required):

- Strong governance mindset: standards, documentation, consistency, accountability.
- Strong knowledge of RC workflows across hospital/professional billing and/or access/coding domains.
- Strong relationship-building and ability to influence operational and technical partners.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Formal leadership of training teams or cross-functional programs.
- Demonstrated ability to influence without authority.
