Description

We are seeking an experienced and Certified Epic Principal Trainer (Cupid) to join our team as an Epic Learning Lead II. This role is responsible for developing and delivering engaging training programs for end-users of Epic’s Cupid module. Our Learning Leads serve as subject matter experts, creating customer-facing content, leading presentations, and ensuring that staff are equipped with the knowledge and skills to effectively use Epic Cupid in support of patient care.  This individual will support Epic training for new hires and/or acquisition employees.  A day in the life of varies based on the projects you will be working on and includes a combination of working with our super users in field locations, creating and delivering content via Captivate, creating training plans or training modules, presentations, delivering training classes as needed, and providing LMS maintenance.  This team effectively fills the gap that our Epic vendor training partners provide. 

*This is an Atlanta based hybrid role requiring a once/month onsite team meeting as well as some onsite project related support functions, as such we are seeking local candidates or those with the ability to relocate.*

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The Epic Learning Lead II (ELL II) builds upon the foundation of the Epic Learning Lead I role by enhancing training strategies, user engagement, and training program effectiveness.
  • As a key member of Emory Digital, the ELL II collaborates with stakeholders and subject matter experts to develop and optimize content for major Epic releases, upgrades, and new Emory-specific initiatives.
  • This role plays a critical part in ensuring that Epic training remains dynamic, data-driven, and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Maintains an ongoing feedback loop program to gather and address user feedback on training.
  • Oversees and maintains the super user program for their application, including providing operational leadership with program information.
  • Participates in professional activities and organizations to stay current on trends, practices, and developments in Epic training and healthcare IT.
  • Manages training projects to ensure business objectives and requirements align with implementation timelines.
  • Utilizes data from various resources to influence decision-making on training needs, improve productivity, and measure learning effectiveness.
  • Understands and applies adult learning theories to the development of storyboards for videos and eLearning content.
  • Works closely with instructional designers to create engaging, competency-based, and instructionally sound education materials.
  • Maintains the appropriate certification for their Epic application to ensure training relevance and accuracy.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Epic Principal Trainer Certification for Cupid is highly desired
  • Will potentially consider Epic Principal Trainer Certification for Radiant in lieu of Cupid
  • Epic PT Certification for CareLink a major bonus but not required.
  • Experience creating training plans, delivering presentations and/or training classes.
  • Experience using Captivate for content creation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates Degree + Five years of experience in designing, developing, and implementing training, readiness, and change management solutions, or seven years of relevant experience.
