Description

  • The Videographer/Editor is responsible for developing content through compelling videos and editing skills to support high-priority communications and marketing initiatives at Emory Healthcare.
  • The role will collaborate closely with colleagues in media relations, marketing, internal communications and other departments within Emory Healthcare and Emory University to generate video content and tell stories about people, patients, events, clinical advances, research findings and other strategic initiatives.
  • The ideal candidate has strong experience working in the media/journalism, video production, editing or similar field.
  • Video Planning and Development:
    • Lead and assist in developing creative, thoughtful and sophisticated stories and content through high-impact video and editing
    • Responsible for all aspects of video and multi-media production, including pre-production planning meetings with clients to determine job scope, content development, storyboarding, videotaping, script writing, voice-over tracking and editing
    • Assist in projects for both internal and external audiences to reinforce Emorys mission and brand
    • Shoot, package (write and track) and edit video stories for both internal and external audiences. These include news stories, patient profiles, leader/executive messaging, patient education videos, training videos and more.
    • Shoot events, b-roll and interviews to support media coverage
    • Assist in scheduling and scouting locations
    • Assist in approval process and input from stakeholders during all phases of video production
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Be familiar with and utilize all current and emerging technology in production and post-production to create and deliver powerful videos in accordance with project timelines and directives
    • Maintain high-quality standards on all video productions
    • Stay abreast of all rapidly evolving media platforms, software and hardware and necessary trainings to be proficient in the role
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Collaborate and communicate with other in-house photo/video and creative teams to ensure integration across multiple digital platforms
    • Collaborate with marketing, internal communications and other key departments to ensure that all projects support the key objectives for Emory Healthcare
    • Communicate and shape narratives that align with Emory Healthcares strategic goals and values

MINIMUM QUALIFICIATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in a film studies, video production, or in a marketing/communications discipline such as journalism, mass communications, English, public relations, marketing or a related field
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience working in a professional media or video production environment
  • Experience should include media interview skills, story development, video content creation, writing, editing, voice-over work
