Description

As an Employee Relations Generalist in the Advice & Counsel Center, you will play a crucial role in providing guidance and support to employees and management on various HR and legal matters. You will be a key point of contact for addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. This role serves as a trusted resource within the organization, promoting a positive workplace culture.

 

  • Employee Consultation:
    • Serve as a primary point of contact for employees seeking advice, guidance, or information on HR- related matters, including but not limited to benefits, policies, and workplace concerns
    • Provide personalized assistance to address employee inquiries and issues promptly and professionally
  • Policy Interpretation and Compliance:
    • Interpret and communicate company policies, procedures, and applicable laws to ensure employees' understanding and adherence
    • Stay current on employment laws and regulations, assisting with policy updates and compliance initiatives
  • Conflict Resolution:
    • Assist in resolving workplace conflicts, disputes, or concerns, promoting fair and consistent resolution processes
    • Collaborate with HR and management to find practical solutions while ensuring adherence to company standards and legal requirements
  • Legal Liaison:
    • Collaborate with the legal department to provide preliminary support in employee relations matters, investigations, and compliance efforts
    • Assist in maintaining and organizing documentation related to legal cases and investigations
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate and confidential records of employee interactions and cases
    • Prepare reports on trends, inquiries, and case resolutions, as required
  • Training and Outreach:
    • Contribute to the development and delivery of training programs and informational sessions for employees and managers
    • Foster understanding and awareness of HR and legal matters within the organization

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field required
  • Proven experience in HR, legal, or employee relations, with at least 2 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Knowledge of employment laws, policies, and best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive matters with empathy and discretion
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite
