Description

OVERVIEW:

  • Manages day to day operations and provides leadership to staff.
  • Coordinates and participates in the implementation and oversight of multiple simultaneous initiatives related to data governance and analytics.
  • Ensure effective program management to include integration of people, process, and technology components to achieve the business goal of providing accessible, accurate, consistent, timely, and actionable data for decision making across the organization.
  • Coordination of efforts will revolve around gathering information about analytics needs across the organization; working with staff for data integration and metric/report certification; data definitions and standards, data quality measures, and report certification.
  • Projects staffing needs, interviews and hires employees to fill vacant positions.
  • Responsible for providing performance feedback. Monitors workflow.
  • Assists in developing and updating departmental policies and procedures.
  • Plans and allocates work on projects that involve people, processes, and technology components requiring contributions from data stewards and IT staff who are not direct reports.
  • Works with CDW team, Data Steward Workgroup, and Project Data Steward team to define processes, standards, and opportunities that will enable more collaboration and sharing of knowledge and content (e.g. data dictionary, CDW metrics, reports) through a `Blue Ribbon' certification process.
  • Plans and facilitates effective meetings and work sessions of Project Data Steward teams, Data Steward Workgroup, and other Analytics project-related teams.
  • Track Project Impact: Works with project team on defining metrics that will be used to measure each data governance project's success.
  • Utilizing EHC decision support systems and other tools, performs financial analysis to assist management/leadership in short and long range financial planning including providing analysis with recommendations to decision makers.
  • Assist with and train staff on the maintenance of decision support systems as well as the accurate loading and maintenance of contracts to allow for accurate modeling and forecasting.
  • Train and mentor employees in the functionality, navigation, execution and reporting of decision support systems and other various software programs.

MINIMUM QUALIFCATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Health, Mathematics, Engineering, or related program with strong emphasis on analytics, information systems, and critical thinking
  • plus 5+ years of experience in health care provider data reporting (clinical workflow and/or data, financial/revenue cycle data and workflow, or both) and analytics OR Master's Degree in above areas plus 3+ years of experience.
  • At least 2 years facilitation experience (meeting or workshop facilitation) and ad hoc reporting tools, online-analytics processing (OLAP) and/or data discovery tools.
  • Must have demonstrated skills in data base reporting, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must have demonstrated strength in data integrity processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to teach analytical concepts.
  • Sound decision-making skills and strong customer service focus.
