Description

Seeking an AI Product Strategist to join the cross-enterprise Emory Digital Artificial Intelligence team reporting directly to the Corporate Director of Data & AI Strategy. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in helping to support the development, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of new predictive models and AI-driven platforms and apps by serving as a product owner/scrum master and business analyst.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Product Roadmap:

  • Develop product strategy and roadmap for one or more products in collaboration with AI team leadership and other leaders across Emory Digital and the business units.
  • Collaborate with our governance and measurement team members and leaders to establish and measure product KPIs including those covering ROI and other value and operational metrics such as patient outcomes, time saved, etc.
  • Plan product-specific roll-out and adoption activities including demos and training in collaboration with our AI leadership, other product strategy team members, and the Emory Digital Academy team.

 

Project Management:

  • Create and maintain product/project management and strategy deliverables to align on vision, future state workflows/processes, etc. by gathering input from key stakeholders including our informatics teams.
  • Develop, manage, and prioritize backlog of project features, epics, and user stories in collaboration with scrum team members, AI Team leadership, and product business owners.
  • Interlock with Emory Digital's PMO to ensure project governance and management and reporting tasks are completed.

 

Business Requirements & Stakeholder Management:

  • Work with business leaders, team members, and stakeholders to understand pain points in existing technical solutions and manual processes, gather functional requirements for new AI apps and products, and develop user stories.
  • Collaborate with technical development and implementation teams to translate functional requirements into technical requirements and tasks.
  • Coordinate work to disambiguate requirements and perform root-cause analysis of product issues.

 

Vendor Management:

  • Assist with vendor management and coordinate requests for vendor support as needed to ensure product success

 

Scrum Master:

  • Serve as scrum master leading agile ceremonies for sprint planning, retrospectives, etc. for product teams

 

End User Communications:

  • Help develop communications and partner with our Emory Digital Communication team to announce product releases and new features, upcoming training, celebrate product/project outcomes, etc.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Education - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration or related field
  • Experience - 5+ years of previous experience as a product owner/scrum master and business analyst supporting the end-to-end product lifecycle

 

Knowledge, skills, and abilities (required):

  • Deep experience working in an agile product development environment and a strong interest and ability to educate and train technical and non-technical team members on project and product management solutions, technologies, methodologies, approaches, etc.
  • Experience developing product-related deliverables such as roadmaps, backlogs, process maps, workflow diagrams, future state vision, etc.
  • Basic understanding of AI and data science methodologies and concepts and a strong interest in continuous learning about artificial intelligence, data science, DevOps/MLOps, machine learning, etc.

 

Preferred Qualifications Education:

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration or related field
  • Experience - 7 years minimum experience
  • Certifications: project management, agile, product management, lean six sigma, process design, design thinking, Azure, AWS, Epic, etc. or related

 

Knowledge, skills, and ability requirements (preferred):

 

Knowledge of Healthcare Industry and Digital Health:

  • Understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within the healthcare sector, particularly concerning digital health and AI applications.

 

Knowledge of Governance and Measurement Frameworks for AI:

  • Familiarity with frameworks and best practices for governing AI initiatives and measuring their impact in an enterprise setting.

 

Experience with Specific AI/ML Technologies or Platforms:

  • Hands-on experience with relevant AI/ML tools, platforms, or data science environments.

 

Skill in Data Visualization and Reporting:

  • Ability to create clear and impactful data visualizations and reports to communicate product performance and insights.

 

Ability to Drive Adoption and Change Management:

  • Experience in strategizing and executing activities to promote product adoption and manage organizational change.
