OVERVIEW:
- The Manager, HR Analytics & Insights leads a team responsible for delivering workforce analytics, reporting, and data-driven guidance to HR and business leaders
- This role is pivotal in transforming data into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making, workforce planning, and operational improvement across the organization
- As a key advisor and thought partner, this person combines deep analytical skills, systems knowledge, and leadership capabilities to elevate the impact of HR analytics
- The manager also plays a central role in maintaining data integrity, supporting system-related initiatives, and ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities
- This role manages a team of HR analytics professionals and collaborates cross-functionally with HR, IT, Finance, and senior leadership. Primary duties and responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & People Management
- Directly manage and develop a team of HR analytics professionals, providing coaching, feedback, and performance management to build capability and engagement
- In partnership with Director, sets clear priorities, allocates resources effectively, and ensures timely delivery of high-quality analytical support and reporting
- Cultivate a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team
- Analytics Strategy & Business Partnership
- Partner with HR and business leaders to define key performance indicators and deliver insights that drive workforce strategy and talent initiatives
- Develop and maintain scalable dashboards, reports, and scorecards to support data-informed decision-making
- Present analytical findings to senior leadership, translating complex data into clear, actionable recommendations
- System & Data Integration Support
- Extract, synthesize, and interpret data from PeopleSoft, iCIMS, and other enterprise HR platforms
- Ensure accurate, consistent, and timely reporting across core HR functions (e.g., talent acquisition, learning, retention, headcount, and turnover)
- Support HR system enhancement projects in partnership with IT teams
- Data Governance & Integrity
- Develop strong data governance practices, including auditing, validation, and adherence to security and access protocols
- Oversee and enhance the HR data glossary, reporting catalog, and process documentation
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external reporting requirements
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with stakeholders across HR, Finance, and IT to align data and reporting strategies with organizational goals
- Lead analytics workstreams for organizational changes, including mergers and acquisitions, ensuring HR data and processes are integrated effectively
- Support training and change management efforts to promote data literacy and adoption of analytics tools
- Travel: Less than 10% of the time may be required
- Work Type: Hybrid employee - splits time between working remotely and working in the office
MINIMIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, I/O Psychology, Information Systems, or related field; or experience in lieu of degree
- 6+ years of progressive HR analytics or HR systems experience
- 2+ years of people management experience leading analytics or data-focused teams
Knowledge, skills, and abilities (required):
- Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, data modeling, advanced formulas) and working knowledge of SQL
- Strong analytical thinker with a consultative, business-oriented mindset
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to simplify complex data for diverse audiences
- Proven ability to lead through ambiguity and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- High integrity and discretion when handling sensitive HR and employee data
Preferred Qualifications Education:
- Master's Degree in Business Administration, I/O Psychology, Information Systems, or related field
- Experience - 10 years minimum experience with at least 5 years in a management position Knowledge, skills, and ability requirements (preferred): Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar) is preferred
- Experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, UKG, Oracle HCM) is a plus
