Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in healthcare security? Emory Healthcare is hosting an exclusive Interview Day for individuals interested in joining our team as Armed Public Safety Officers at The Emory Clinics.
This is your opportunity to meet our hiring leaders, interview on-site, and explore a rewarding career in public safety at one of Georgia’s leading academic health systems.
To participate in the interview event, candidates must meet the minimum qualifications for the role listed below:
Two (2) consecutive years of armed security, military, or law enforcement experience within the last 7 years
Must meet one of the following:
Possess(ed) a P.O.S.T. certification, OR
Be registered through the military (DD214 or current Military ID) – All active, reserve, retired, or honorably discharged personnel qualify, OR
Hold a federal, state, or local firearms license/certification (e.g., Department of Homeland Security, NASA, NRA, GBI, Secretary of State)
Must successfully complete the Basic Security Officer and Firearms Course (mandated by the Secretary of State) within 3 months post-hire
Must complete training to carry non-lethal weapons (Taser and/or baton) within 3 months post-hire
Must possess a valid Georgia driver’s license and have a clean driving record
Must be able to operate a company vehicle
Must pass a psychological exam
Must obtain the following within 12 months of hire:
IAHSS Basic Certification
BLS Certification
Must complete FEMA IS 100, 200, 700 & 800 within 6 months of hire
