The Marketing Account Manager develops and executes integrated marketing programs designed to drive awareness, patient and referral acquisition, and growth across Emory Healthcares service lines, hospitals and programs. Reporting to the Director of Marketing Strategy & Account Management, this role collaborates closely with clinical, digital, and creative teams to bring marketing strategies to life and ensure campaigns are effectively executed across all channels. As a key member of Emory Healthcares high-performance Integrated Marketing and Demand Generation team, the Marketing Account Manager plays a vital role in aligning marketing initiatives with institutional goals, managing creative assets and optimizing marketing performance.

The ideal candidate is organized, collaborative, detail-oriented, and motivated by measurable impact in a fast-paced environment.

 

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Campaign Planning & Execution Develop and implement marketing campaigns, including digital, traditional media, social media, email, direct mail and events.
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, and communication between internal teams and external vendors. 
  • Ensure campaigns are on-brand, on-budget, and aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Content & Digital Coordination 
  • Collaborate with content and digital teams to build and maintain web pages, blogs, and social content supporting assigned service lines, hospitals and programs. 
  • Help manage video and photography projects including patient testimonials, physician features, and educational content. 
  • Support SEO content strategies by coordinating keyword-informed content and metadata.

Marketing Operations:

  • Oversee the production of marketing materials such as flyers, brochures, display ads, provider toolkits, and email campaigns. 
  • Maintain campaign calendars, workback schedules, and status trackers to keep projects on course.
  • Coordinate review and approval processes with clinical and marketing leadership.

Provider & Community Engagement:

  • Partner with physician outreach teams to develop co-branded marketing materials for referring providers.
  • Support community event marketing including webinars, screenings, and sponsorship activations that drive awareness and engagement.

Analytics, Optimization & Reporting:

  • Work with analytics teams to monitor campaign KPIs such as lead conversions, patient volume, engagement rates, and digital performance.
  • Compile and present performance reports and identify opportunities to optimize campaigns.
  • Stay informed on health care marketing trends and competitor strategies to inform campaign recommendations.

Communication & Collaboration:

  • Serve as a day-to-day marketing contact for service line administrators and clinical partners, sharing updates and managing client service.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with design, content, PR, and digital teams to execute campaigns efficiently and effectively. 
  • Participate in regular planning and performance review meetings, contributing ideas and insights to enhance marketing outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field required.
  • Experience: - 5+ years of experience in health care marketing, service line marketing, or an equivalent field.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple marketing projects and work cross-functionally in a matrixed organization.

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Requirements: 

  • Excellent organizational, project management, communication, and customer service skills. 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage timelines and competing priorities. 
  • Familiarity with campaign reporting tools and marketing performance metrics. 
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS), analytics dashboards (e.g., Google Analytics), and CRM platforms such as Salesforce or Eloqua. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with project management tools like Asana, Wrike, or Trello.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in an academic medical center or large health care system. 
  • Understanding of digital advertising (Google Ads, paid social), SEO best practices, and provider marketing tactics.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and health care compliance considerations (e.g., HIPAA).
