We're seeking Sterile Processing Technicians to join our talent pool of professionals who are committed to excellence and patient safety. As a key member of our team, you will ensure the safe and effective reprocessing of surgical instruments and equipment in accordance with Emory Healthcare standards and national regulatory guidelines. This individual will:
Provide on-site support for surgical instrument reprocessing in line with TJC, OSHA, CDC, AAMI, AORN standards and facility policies.
Handle decontamination, cleaning, assembly, wrapping, sterilization, and storage of reusable medical supplies.
Communicate effectively and professionally with hospital and company staff.
Participate in orientation and on-the-job training of new staff when directed.
Report broken instruments and low par levels of SPD consumables.
Promote lean work environment concepts and follow dress code requirements.
Support and adhere to both IMS and facility policies and procedures.
