Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • The Epic pharmacist analyst, senior/lead, utilizes and applies advanced knowledge in core Epic systems including Inpatient, Ambulatory, and/or Oncology applications, interface/integration points, clinical practice and workflows, and the medication-use process.
  • Supports system standardization to ensure safe medication build and practices are incorporated into application design and clinical workflow.
  • Completes complex projects, tasks, build/designs, and applies critical problem solving skills. In addition, serves as a team liaison and mentor for Epic application(s) team members and provides technical guidance/support to other teams including Informatics.
  • Assists manager with pharmacy team work assignments as needed.
  • Serves as a preceptor for pharmacy residents and students to experience information technology and clinical workflow build and design.
  • Participates in applicant interviews and provides performance feedback to the manager as needed.
  • Participates and provides guidance to team members on submissions/ presentations at Healthcare IT conferences which promotes the work of Emory Digital and Pharmacy specific initiatives.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Pharmacy (BS or PharmD).
  • Minimum 7 years analyst experience which includes 2 years Emory experience.
  • Accredited/certified in primary Epic application area (Willow IP, Beacon, WAMB) with additional certifications and/or badge.
  • Maintains an active pharmacist license. Serves as a positive role model with excellent people skills.
