OVER VIEW:

 

We're seeking a Manager EMS Liaisons serves as a strategic leader in fostering relationships with EMS providers, expanding business development initiatives, and driving educational programs for both internal and external stakeholders.

 

This role builds upon the responsibilities of the EMS Liaison by providing a higher level of leadership, program development, and strategic oversight in EMS engagement. The EMS Liaisons Manager will work closely with hospital leadership, regional EMS agencies, and healthcare teams to optimize EMS integration, develop system-wide initiatives, and enhance operational efficiencies.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead EMS business development efforts, identifying new opportunities for partnership growth and service expansion.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Emory Healthcare and EMS providers, ensuring strong relationships and seamless coordination.
  • Oversee and enhance outreach programs that engage EMS providers, promote Emory Healthcare services, and strengthen referral networks.
  • Develop and implement advanced EMS education initiatives, including leadership training, evidence-based best practices, and continuing education programs.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on primary (911) EMS operations, advising hospital leadership on trends, opportunities, and system improvements Collect, analyze, and present EMS data to identify trends, improve efficiencies, and support decision-making.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures that enhance EMS-provider experience and operational effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal EMS regulations and stay current with industry developments and best practices.
  • Represent Emory Healthcare at regional and national EMS conferences, strengthening the organizations reputation and influence within the EMS community.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in healthcare administration, emergency management, nursing, paramedicine, business development, or a related field required. A masters degree is preferred.

 

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in EMS and/or ED.
  • Experience with business development, acute/critical care, and leadership experience preferred.
  • Certifications: Current state licensure as a Paramedic and/or Registered Nurse (RN) preferred. Certified Emergency Medical Dispatcher (EMD) or equivalent experience in EMS coordination is a plus. 
  • Skills & Competencies: Demonstrated leadership in EMS, relationship-building, and business development. Strong strategic thinking and decision-making abilities.  Expertise in EMS, patient transport, and regulatory compliance. Excellent communication, public speaking, and stakeholder engagement skills. Experience in analyzing and interpreting data for operational improvements. Advanced proficiency in healthcare transport software, electronic health records (EHR), and data analysis tools. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate across departments and external agencies.
