RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Planning, organizing, directing, and managing the day to day operations for application production support processes, systems, projects, and personnel for clinical applications.
• Analyzes and researches departmental budget(s) to locate errors and/or omissions, balance account records, and reconcile discrepancies.
• Supervises staff and manages employee performance.
• Provides on-going performance feedback, addresses problems, orients and trains employees, verifies competency and identifies and suggests ways to develop skills.
• Monitors workflow.
• Attends educational in-services as appropriate.
• Participates in professional activities and organizations to maintain knowledge of current trends, practices, and developments.
• Collects, organizes, and analyzes data and generates and provides accurate and complete reports for management and/or regulatory agencies.
• Interprets applicable regulations and establishes filing and auditing procedures to ensure records and files are accurate and in compliance. Performs related responsibilities as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent preferred, plus 4 years of experience in health care information technology including project management, personnel management, and application production support.
• Combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
