Description

The Digital Integrated Solutions Architect is a key member of the Emory Digital Financial Informatics team and reports to the Director, Integrated Solutions. This role is responsible for collaborating across Clinical and Business departments and Emory Digital teams to design, implement, and optimize digital workflows in complex domains including Research, Transplant, and Lab.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The Integrated Solutions Architect plays a critical role in aligning Digital initiatives with financial objectives, acting as a concierge for project intake and a steward in Digital governance processes.
  • The successful candidate will autonomously identify opportunities for integration and optimization to improve financial and operational performance, influence Digital strategy, and enhance the overall experience for the Emory community.

Key Responsibilities Workflow Support:

  • Partner with Clinical and Business departments to support, improve, and sustain digital workflows across complex areas including Research, Lab, and Transplant.

Digital Intake & Governance:

  • Manage intake and prioritization of project requests from departments, ensuring alignment with organizational clinical and financial goals. Optimization:
  • Proactively assess existing workflows to identify and implement optimization opportunities that enhance efficiency, outcomes, and financial results.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with department leaders to understand financial performance goals and associated key performance indicators (KPIs), developing digital strategies to support those targets.

Data Analysis:

  • Collaborate with the Digital Financial Informatics team to leverage data analytics in monitoring performance and identifying workflow improvement opportunities.

Digital Concierge Role:

  • Serve as the liaison across Emory Digital teams to ensure timely and thorough deployment of digital solutions, including resource planning, communication, documentation, training, and performance monitoring.
  • Ensure that financial KPIs are included in benefit realization plans within the Digital Financial Informatics framework.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Health Informatics, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Solutions Architect or in a similar role directly supporting clinical and/or business departments using Epic.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use financial metrics and performance data to inform decisions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective cross-departmental engagement.
  • Proficiency in software and tools used for workflow management and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with healthcare billing practices and regulatory requirements relevant to supported departments.
  • Preferred candidate will understand clinical and billing workflows, particularly in Research, Transplant, and Lab environments using Epic modules (Research, Phoenix, and Beaker).
