Description

The Director of Digital Experience & Integrations will oversee the technical infrastructure that powers Emory Healthcares digital experiences.

 

This role is focused on integrating and optimizing digital platforms (e.g., website, intranet, patient portals) to deliver seamless, personalized experiences for users.

 

The Director will lead a team of specialists in backend web development, API integrations, and platform development to ensure that Emory Healthcares digital technologies are aligned, functional, and capable of driving business goals.

 

Key Responsibilities Digital Experience Infrastructure & Optimization:

  • Lead the technical strategy for the integration and optimization of Emory Healthcares digital platforms, ensuring a seamless user experience across all touchpoints.
  • Oversee the integration of key systems such as CRM, content management systems (e.g., Sitecore), and patient-facing applications, ensuring data is shared and flows seamlessly between systems.

API & System Integrations:

  • Lead the integration strategy for backend systems, including API integrations, to enable interoperability between digital platforms and other enterprise technologies.
  • Collaborate with IT and other technical teams to ensure smooth, efficient integrations and maintain system performance.

 

Platform Management & Development: 

  • Oversee the management of full-stack web development, intranet platform development, and backend systems.
  • Ensure that all platforms are optimized for performance, security, and scalability, meeting both marketing and business objectives.

Team Leadership & Collaboration: 

  • Lead and mentor a team of technical professionals, including full-stack web developers, API integration specialists, and intranet platform developers.
  • Foster a collaborative environment, working closely with marketing, IT, and other departments to align digital experience strategies with organizational goals. Minimum

Qualifications Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Marketing, or a related field.

Experience: 

  • 7+ years of experience in digital experience management, web development, or system integrations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in leading technical teams focused on digital experience optimization and system integrations.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.) and backend development frameworks.
  • Experience managing API integrations and understanding of enterprise system architecture.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across departments and influence stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: Masters degree in Information Technology, Marketing, or a related field. 
  • Experience with healthcare-specific digital platforms or technologies.
