Description

We are seeking a Technical Support Specialist to provide exceptional support for our supply chain and inventory management systems. This role involves troubleshooting system issues, assisting end-users, maintaining system integrity, and working closely with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have experience in ERP, WMS, TMS, or other supply chain software, with strong problem-solving and communication skills. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Uses technical skills and provides guidance and direction in the development, implementation and maintenance of complex production information systems.
  • Conducts research in automation techniques to improve application performance, efficiency, and testing.
  • Determines and performs testing methodologies and techniques.
  • Adheres to internal controls and standards established for department.
  • Provides assistance in isolating and solving problems within application systems, interfaces, and middleware infrastructure.
  • Plans and coordinates programming projects within a particular work group.
  • Provides production support in a 7 X 24 Tier 1 environment.
  • Assists and advises subordinate personnel in the solution of highly technical and complex problems and solutions.
  • Functions as a senior programming consultant in advanced computer technology and architecture.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required. 

Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
• Provide technical support for inventory management, warehouse management (WMS), and supply chain software for healthcare.
• Diagnose and resolve system errors, performance issues, and integration failures.
• Assist with data reconciliation, inventory discrepancies, and order processing issues.
• Coordinate with business stakeholders.

 

System Administration & Maintenance:
• Manage user access, system configurations, and security settings.
• Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and patching.
• Monitor system performance and uptime, ensuring minimal disruption to supply chain operations.

 

Process Improvement & Collaboration:

• Work with supply chain teams to enhance system functionality and efficiency.
• Identify opportunities for automation, integration, and process optimization.
• Participate in system testing, upgrades, and new software implementations.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree from a recognized college or university with major course work in computer science, Information Technology, engineering, or equivalent related experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in application systems/administration OR 7 years of experience without a degree.
  • Prefer proficiency in at least two scripting languages used currently in production.
  • Must be able to lead, engage and mentor others to achieve a very high level of application systems availability and integration.
  • Must have good business skills.
  • Must be able to lead problem solving efforts when mission critical systems are interrupted.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud-based supply chain platforms (SaaS solutions).
  • Hands-on experience with ERP, WMS, TMS, and inventory management systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar).
  • IT certifications (e.g., ITIL, CompTIA, Microsoft, SAP, or Oracle certifications) are a plus.
  • Familiarity with barcode scanning, RFID, or automation tools in warehouse environments.
