The Project Management Conusltant analyzes and evaluates clinical and financial data to support Emory Healthcare’s clinical service lines. This role contributes to initiatives designed to reduce costs, improve quality of care, and support strategic goals of Emory Healthcare administration.
The analyst supports performance improvement initiatives by coordinating data collection, conducting analyses, and assisting project teams with operational and financial insights. This position plays an important role in supporting program implementation, monitoring key performance indicators, and providing data-driven recommendations to enhance operational performance and patient care outcomes.
Analyze and evaluate clinical, operational, and financial data to support clinical service line initiatives.
Develop and produce reports that track and benchmark:
Cost performance
Resource utilization
Patient volumes
Quality indicators and other key performance metrics.
Maintain data systems and prepare reports summarizing financial, statistical, and operational performance.
Support performance improvement initiatives aimed at cost reduction, quality improvement, and operational efficiency.
Assist project teams in designing and implementing:
Care pathways
Utilization reduction initiatives
Cost containment strategies
Standardization efforts across clinical programs.
Assist with management of project deliverables, including status reporting and risk escalation.
Coordinate collection, interpretation, and analysis of data related to new products, services, or clinical programs.
Identify and validate multiple data sources including:
Medical records
Financial data
Patient volume data
Competitor and market data
Benchmark data from peer institutions
Utilization metrics.
Assist with the evaluation of existing products, programs, and clinical initiatives.
Provide recommendations for improvements, corrective actions, or program modifications.
Develop an understanding of healthcare provider challenges, operational models, and healthcare value chains.
Analyze trends and relationships related to volume, pricing, revenue generation, and cost drivers within the healthcare system.
Maintain working relationships with:
Physicians
Administrators
Hospital departments
Clinical personnel
Third-party payors.
Facilitate communication and collaboration to support the progress of clinical service line initiatives and program objectives.
Bachelor’s degree in one of the following or a related field:
Accounting
Economics
Finance
Business Administration
Healthcare Administration.
Three (3) years of progressive experience in financial analysis, healthcare analytics, or related analytical roles.
Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience may be considered.
Knowledge of project management techniques and methodologies.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access.
Ability to analyze complex datasets and develop actionable insights and recommendations.
Understanding of healthcare operations, financial drivers, and performance metrics
