Description

  • Manages, develops and coordinates outreach and public relations programming, adds new sites and extends marketing, physician liaison and patient relations.
  • Plans, administers and monitors the department's capital equipment, operations, and personnel budgets; regularly reviews year to date expenditures; and takes corrective action as necessary.
  • Tracks budget against business plan and ensures compliance with fiscal constraints.
  • Increases department's profitability.
  • Manages staff and employee performance.
  • Resolves Human resource-related issues, determines staffing needs, interviews and hires staff.
  • Provides on-going performance feedback, addresses problems, orients and trains employees, verifies competency and identifies and suggests ways to develop skills.
  • Determines disciplinary, termination and salary actions. Monitors workflow.
  • Develops departmental short and long term goals and objectives.
  • Analyzes departmental strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and constraints.
  • Meets with other staff members to discuss progress and to develop future courses of action.
  • Develops and manages programs and projects; analyzes business objectives according to business plan.
  • Works with manager to formulate plan for professional development.
  • Attends educational in-services as appropriate. Participates in professional activities and organizations to maintain knowledge of current trends, practices, and developments.
  • Collects, organizes, and analyzes data and generates and provides accurate and complete reports that track program's growth and improvement for management and/or regulatory agencies.
  • Develops and facilitates effective meetings as necessary.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master's degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Three years tertiary hospital or program development and planning experience.
  • Previous management background including envisioning and coordinating successful programs well received by patients and referring physicians is important.
  • Positions in the Heart Center prefer expertise in heart programming.
