Description

JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking an Ambulatory Clinic Education Specialist to serve as the departmental support partner for new and continuous education, ensuring clinic teams have the necessary workflow knowledge, and support for their operations. JOB DUTIES: 1. Development of positive relationships with clinic leadership team is essential to the role. 2. Will develop a comprehensive knowledge of clinic workflows and be able to support new and continuous education and support for specialty workflows and systems. 3. In partnership with clinic leadership team, develop and maintain onboarding documents, to support the leaders with consistent and comprehensive education during the onboarding experience for staff. 4. Utilizing appropriate resources, create content, maintain materials, and conduct additional training as needed for applications used within a given department. 5. Develops in-depth knowledge of standard operating procedures for reference against onboarding documentation and workflow. Assists leadership team with development of standard work where appropriate. 6. Understands the nuanced nature of different clinic locations, and where standard variations may need to be leveraged within a particular workflow. 7. Utilizes multiple methods of communication and forums to ensure regular, timely, accurate details around information relevant to clinic roles are shared to the teams. 8. Collaborates with other shared department stakeholders including: Operational Excellence, Nursing, Patient Access, Patient Financial Services, Patient Experience, and others, to support education efforts, and ensure consistency of communication and training methods. 9. Supports clinic departments as support for questions, issues, and continued training for end user assistance (remote and 1:1). Acting as the liaison between clinic sections and other central departments. 10. Successful completion of the assigned Epic curriculum, and assignment as an Epic super user is required for this role to support the super users and staff within the ambulatory clinic setting. 11. Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Must have a bachelors degree or equivalent relevant experience in education or training. Experience: At least 2 years of training or education experience is required. Knowledge, skills, and ability requirements: 1. Must be able to demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills. 2. Strong interpersonal relationship management skills are required. 3. Candidate should be comfortable using a variety of tools to develop and deliver education. (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint, etc.)
