7am - 3:30pm/ Full Time/ 40 Hours 

Salary range- $20.86- $27.94

 

We're seeking a Supervisor Central Sterile Processing, Emory Midtown Hospital responsible for being a capable certified technician who cares about the quality of their work an ensuring the safety for all patients. 

This individual will:   

 

  • Coordinates and oversees daily activities between the Operating Room (OR) and Central Sterile Services Department (CSS) to facilitate efficient case flow.
  • (CBSPD) or (AAMI) or (IAHCSMM) current standards.
  • Keeping knowledge current on aseptic techniques and basic microbiology sufficient to understand the ways diseases and infections are transmitted and the importance of clean and sterile supplies in patient care.
  • Works with SPD Educator to develop in-service education programs as needed. Assesses supplies required for prescribed standard surgical procedures and sets up case carts. maintain inventory, collects, disassembles, inspects, cleans, disinfects and reassembles all instrument trays patient care equipment.
  • Some College or Associates Degree preferred or Surgical Technologist.
  • Must have a minimum of  2 years of experience working in sterile processing, healthcare environment, or as operating scrub. Sterile Processing Technician Certification CBSPD/ CRCST required/for Surgical Tech 6 months to obtain.
  • Completion of CHL Certification or CIS and significant supervisory experience waived if Surgical Technologist. Ability to perform basic math.
