Description

  • The strategic planning position is responsible for supporting the strategic and business planning processes for the Woodruff Health Sciences Center (WHSC) and Emory Healthcare (EHC) through research, data analysis, preparation of reports and coordination of planning efforts for programs and services
  • The position assists in the development of strategic, business, and program plans for priority initiatives; annual planning cycle activities and projects; external and internal environmental assessments; planning retreat facilitation; and other planning activities as assigned
  • The successful candidate will demonstrate critical thinking, problem solving skills, the ability to gather, analyze, synthesize, and interpret complex quantitative and qualitative data into organized, clear, concise reports and effective presentations
  • Successful candidates will also demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills through the identification of key observations of data analysis, interviews, or research
  • Successful candidates will have the ability to juggle multiple project deadlines and use project timelines, work plans, and tools and know when to ask manager(s) for guidance
  • The position requires the ability to both work independently and work effectively in a team environment
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A masters degree in one of the following fields is required within 6 months of hire (healthcare administration, business administration, or related field (MHA, MHSA, MBA, MPH, MS in data or informatics fields)
  • Two plus years healthcare experience preferred, preferably one year in a strategic planning, business development, market research, healthcare consulting, or a related area
