Description

  • Facilitation - Use of the basic concepts of lean / Toyota production system such as waste identification
  • Assists with determining customer needs by completing workflow analysis and collecting, organizing and analyzing data
  • Assist departments with basic lean concepts such as Daily Management System, A3 problem solving technique, and processes related to 5S approach to space
  • Analysis - Conduct time studies, assisting with data collection and analysis led by other engineers
  • Responsible for observations and basic process map creation as well as creating pareto charts, pivot tables with automated and manually collected data
  • Assists departments in analyzing operational and clinical data using consistent use of run and control charts
  • Initial exposure to department level productivity review and escalating findings to responsible roles
  • Training/Coaching - Guiding departments on daily problem solving techniques and approaches (PDCA)
  • General comfort level with presentations to smaller groups or entry level staff
  • Project Management - Offers general assistance to departmental management or teams throughout the project process and informs project leader of statuses, barriers, and milestones
  • Basic project planning focusing on time lines and simple milestones
  • Prepares and conducts research prior to initiation of projects to provide state of the art approaches and solutions to problems
  • Generates and produces reports based on customer needs at the direction of the team leader
  • Software Skills - Previous use with Excel, Powerpoint and Office365

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 0 to 4 relevant years of experience
  • Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field
