Description

  • This position supports and coordinates clinic and hospital Health Information Management (HIM) Operations
  • Provide recommendations to optimize resources and align them with best-in-class performance metrics in specific categories of HIM (productivity, compliance, accuracy, effectiveness, timeliness, and efficiency)
  • The position also organizes, manages, and monitors the performance productivity of HIM
  • Supervises staff, providing work assignments, performance feedback and corrective action if necessary
  • Assist in Hiring process and trains new employees
  • Reviews and approves UKG payroll when needed
  • Works with a leader to formulate a plan for professional development
  • Attends educational in-services as appropriate
  • Provides data and reports as required by management
  • Works with physicians to ensure consistent coding and documentation practices are followed
  • Trains staff as appropriate on record completion guidelines
  • Act as a subject matter expert related to Health Information Management operation

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree and with a minimum of four (4) years of Health Information Management and/or leadership experience, preferably in HIM
  • Professional Certification accepted: RHIA, RHIT, CPC, CCS, or CHDA
