Description

  • Initiates and develops relationships with current and potential referral sources and patients in acute care hospitals to educate patients in understanding Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) services
  • Assists patients with facilitating the process for admission to the LTAC hospital
  • Achieves quantifiable objectives set by hospital management
  • As a Clinical LTAC Liaison, calls upon hospitals/personnel, physicians and other potential referral sources to develop and manage key accounts within a specific geographical territory
  • Creates target lists of contacts and decision makers in assigned hospitals
  • Develops relationships, provides excellent customer service and educates referral sources on services provided by the hospital
  • Problem solves service issues with tact and resourcefulness
  • Demonstrates positive referral satisfaction and account retention
  • Documents pre-admission assessments on referred patients that justifies admission criteria is met for the LTAC hospital and appropriately recommends candidates for admission
  • Considers financial issues as well as discharge disposition of patient
  • Works collaboratively with admission personnel, administrators and physicians in the admission process
  • Fosters team work throughout entire process
  • Educates potential patients and families on LTAC goals and benefits of program(s)
  • Distributes collateral materials appropriately
  • Supports Sales and Marketing through educational programs, tours, meetings, etc. in assigned hospitals
  • Develops strategies to grow market share in core business lines in assigned hospitals
  • Creates quarterly goals and objectives and submits to supervisor
  • Works with Management to identify opportunities for expansion of strategic business initiatives
  • Serves as an advocate and educates hospitals and communities on LTAC criteria
  • Continually strives to improve and develop the Clinical Liaison program, regularly identifying improvements and suggests changes as needed
  • Supports team members in the field
  • Develops and maintains professional credibility
  • Gains mutual respect and builds confidence throughout assigned hospitals
  • Provides leadership and direction to assigned facilities
  • Recommends changes to schedule that enhance the efficiency and volume of admissions, including program expansion, to assigned hospitals
  • Performs other related projects and duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate's degree with 4 years previous experience as a Clinical LATC Liaison required
  • Bachelor's degree/BSN preferred
  • Previously demonstrated experience working in a clinical setting where they were directly involved with patient diagnosis and/or assessing acuity for complex patients/residents
  • Demonstrated familiarity with hospital admissions procedures
  • Proven track record in sales and marketing with at least one year experience in sales and marketing position or related preferred
  • Strong preference given to candidates who have previous experience operating in the sales function of a medical device, institutional pharmaceutical or healthcare setting company
  • Consideration will be given to those with prior Durable Medical Equipment and / or Home Health and /or Hospice
  • Licensure/Certification: GA RN, PT, OT, RRT or Speech licensure required
  • *Only current LPN incumbents will be grandfathered in this job; New hire with only a LPN licensure will not be eligible
