The Manager, Talent & Learning role is part of the Emory Healthcare’s System Talent & Learning team and directly enables the organization’s commitment to our people. This role is responsible for deploying trainings and programs that better enable organizational retention and development across all 25,000 employees, with a focus on Leadership Development. The role reports to the Corporate Director, Learning & Development with a matrix reporting relationship to the Corporate Director, Talent Management, and will be responsible for deploying learning initiatives inside Divisions, Functions and Service Lines, including supporting the various business leaders, physician leaders and HR business partners in their unique talent & learning agendas, leadership retreats and on-demand training delivery. This role will also have a strong facilitation role in our ongoing leadership development programs.
Focus Areas for Highest Impact:
Learning & Development
Responsible for partnering across Emory Healthcare (EHC) to identify their unique learning & development needs and deliver effective training content.
Training Design: Support the design of customized trainings, workshops and leadership retreats to support divisions, functions and service lines based on needs analysis
Advanced Facilitation: Facilitate high quality on-demand trainings and workshops inside divisions, functions and service lines using various forms and formats including group discussion, lecture, simulations, videos and platforms to support virtual and in-person learning
Facilitates for system-level leadership programs, as well as supports follow-up / coaching for those who attend system level leadership development programs as they return back to their divisions, functions and service lines
Provide alignment with any Physician leadership development programs in partnership with School of Medicine
Partners with other system level talent & learning colleagues to deliver on-demand trainings/retreats as identified
Maintain professional growth by participating in educational programs and professional organizations and activities to maintain a knowledge of national trends and to promote leading edge performance and expertise within the departmen
Talent Management & Performance Management
Supports enhancing system-wide Performance Management trainings and other performance projects as identified by the Corp. Director of Talent Management
Will support Talent Review processes at high-points of delivery where identified by Corp. Director, Talent Management
May support identified Talent Development initiatives as needed including but not limited to facilitating New Leader Accelerations and culture enhancing programs, supporting mentoring programs, and running listening sessions
Skills and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Industrial-Organizational Psychology or related field; Master’s degree or MBA preferred, with 5 years of directly related experience.
Specialist-level depth in learning & development with experience in Talent Management (performance & talent review experience preferred).
Strong experience partnering with HR business partners and operating in a matrix organization. Strong project management skills; organized and detail-oriented; Ability to independently manage, own and execute projects, escalating with questions and concerns as needed. Experience with Microsoft Office Products (high proficiency with PPT, intermediate proficiency with Excel)
• Expert facilitation, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to relate to a variety of audiences
• Strong communication skills; ability to work with all levels of talent including Executive Leaders
• Tolerance for ambiguity balanced with the ability to organize and deploy practical solutions
• Customer centricity focus and ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external partners
• Innovative thinking and proven ability to research innovative learning and development practices and tools to continuously enrich and enhance Emory Healthcare talent & learning practices

This is a hybrid role. Ability to travel to Emory Healthcare locations in the Atlanta area and deliver in-person trainings as needed is required.
