Description

We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic Specialist  I to support and oversee equipment, patient care, and sustainability.

 

This position is responsible to provide daily direction and oversight of the TempTrak system for hospitals and other supporting facilities with TempTrak. TempTrak is a monitoring system that reports temperature ranges as set per code for each service line.  When the temperatures go out of range, alarms go into action until the problem is resolved. These alarms include; Refrigerator, Freezer, Ultra Deep Freezer, Humidity, Air Pressure and Air Velocity sensors, Buffer Station, Transmitters, Repeaters, etc. This person works directly with Department Manager of Business, Unit  Directors, Nurse Managers and front line caregivers in overseeing compliance and adherence to standards to protect the value of investment in the TempTrak system.

Other responsibilities included, but are not limited to:

  • Developing annual calibration of devices for a system wide program.
  • Developing a maintenance program for a system wide program.
  • Developing a battery replacement program for devices with batteries.

 

Shift Time: 11pm-7:30am

  • Skilled, trained and certified in one of the competency areas of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, steam control, and related building systems and equipment.
  • Certification and proven competency required in area of competency identified.
  • Provides guidance to maintenance mechanics and assigns and schedules work.
  • Interprets departmental and organizational policies and procedures for staff to ensure consistent practices.
  • Picks-up and distributes work assignments and gives direction to ensure work orders are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Schedules, monitors and directs workflow.
  • Observes and reviews work produced by staff to maintain efficiency and timely services.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints, drawings, schematics and written technical documents of general machineries to locate area of trouble and complete repairs accurately.
  • Performs preventive maintenance on related equipment, buildings and building systems to ensure safe and proper operations.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates Degree or two years experience along with certification in area of competency.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in building maintenance OR 10 ten years of experience in one of the competency areas.
  • Positions in this classification may require a valid Georgia driver's license and an insurable driving record.
  • Some positions within this classification may require the ability to lift 50 pounds and to bend, stoop, and twist.
