Description

We are seeking an Technical Security Coordinator to help keep our community safe. We support Emory Healthcare's mantra of "We're all in this together." RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Coordinates technical security systems, trains personnel, provides technical support, coordinates security and life safety system requirements with departments and outside agencies.
  • Communicates with internal departments and external agencies and identifies and maintains records, provides statistical analysis of crime trends, identifies problem areas and serves as evidence and property custodian.
  • Maintains records and files by interpreting applicable regulations and auditing procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Designs and generates reports by determining the users needs and by collecting, organizing, and analyzing the data to provide accurate and complete reports.
  • Maintains effective, professional relationships with other departments and local law enforcement agencies and personnel, coordinates investigation functions end shares information and expertise.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains technical security systems in support of organizational security and safety operations.
  • Oversees the safeguarding criminal evidence and patient valuables entrusted in departmental care.
  • Conducts regular audits of property in custody.
  • Provides organizational administrators with information regarding crime trends, safety hazards, security issues/incidents warranting further attention.
  • Coordinates communications systems and procedures between organizational units to ensure the smooth, accurate flow of information.
  • Recommends and coordinates training and development programs for department by assessing internal needs, identifying programs and arranging for training leaders.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • An associate's degree in criminal justice or a related field.
  • Four years law enforcement or public safety administration experience.
