Perform supply chain activity from entry to exit for official and unofficial inventory and other supplies or equipment received, distributed, maintained and managed physically and logistically by the Materials Management Department throughout a selected Emory Hospital, Warehouse, Distribution Center or Supply Chain Environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains Supply Chain Inventory locations utilizing enhanced technology supported devices.
- Conducts inventory for dynamically changing Par Level Supply locations and recommends order placement for supply replenishment while counting and processing orders for Purchase.
- Recommends par level changes based on trending data utilizing SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT software system to assist in data analysis.
- Formulates the effect of supply chain item data change while forecasting need, change and adjustments to inventory to guarantee product availability.
- Delivers and replenishes Supply Chain Inventory location supplies based on orders generated by departments or Supply Chain Staff.
- Arranges, receives, processes and distributes supplies and equipment.
- Assists Supply Chain Customers as needed for accurate product selection, support and need.
- Assists Supply Chain Leadership by communicating Receiving and Inventory Status and all pertinent information necessary for supply distribution.
- Utilizing computer technology software and devices, enters all inventory data necessary into Supply Chain Management software system.
- Uses FIFO and LIFO formula for storage dynamics by rotating, cycle Counting and physically inspecting product integrity while conducting expiration date verification.
- May participate in the receiving process of various shipments from vendors via couriers, carriers, Federal Express, UPS, and any type of delivery company by management of Bill-Of-Lading, Packing Slip and all other information processing systems.
- May utilize a variety of material handling equipment including but not limited to manually operated pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, order pickers, stackers, forklifts, hand trucks, floats, and push carts.
- Adheres to OSHA standards while maintaining required material handling licensure, certifications and training.
- Maintains safe, clean and organized work environment.
- Communicates effectively with all levels of staff and leadership.
- Utilizes all communication devices necessary including by not limited to land line telephones, smart phones and any all available electronic devices.
- Is familiar with all office equipment such as computers and like devices appropriate for specific job assignments.
- Maintains, inventories retrieves and issues medical procedure carts including Code Carts, Procedure Carts, and all other maintained equipment for issue and document processing.
- Utilizes pneumatic tube system for order delivery and transport to patient care areas.
- Issues, processes, and orders Wound Vacs and Specialty beds through appropriate software.
- Ensures required data including Patient Information is maintained in the appropriate data bases and communication with Vendors is maintained for patient charges and inventory accountability.
- Familiar and understands linen hygiene and sanitation techniques for ready storage and distribution.
- May prepare, sort, weigh, and document linen data prior to distribution.
- May store and ensure quality assurance of linen through best cleanliness practice and of storage process and technique.
- May prepare linen distribution carts for delivery to linen supply rooms throughout the hospital.
- May deliver linen throughout hospital using par methodology to maintain needed amount of linen on any given linen storage area in patient care areas.
- Maintains linen par data in appropriate software data base.
- Learns, understands all other Supply Chain responsibilities as needed and necessary for job completion.
Shift: 7pm-5:30am Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday (Shift Differential Rate Provided)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A high school diploma or equivalent and one year of warehouse, stockroom, or related experience.
- Some positions in this classification may require the ability to lift 50 pounds and to bend, stoop, and twist.
- Some individuals in the job classification may be required to pass the DOT physical.
