Description

7am - 5:30pm/ Full Time/ 40 Hours, 10 hour shift.

Salary range - $19.36- $26.36

  

We're seeking a Endoscopy Technician, Coord Emory University Hospital responsible for being a capable certified technician who cares about the quality of their work an ensuring the safety for all patients. 

This individual will:    

 

 

  • Assist with the coordination of services relating to supply chain management, equipment program planning/procurement/education, High Level Disinfection ( HLD) processes, assisting Providers in patient procedures performed within the Endoscopy/Nursing Units and participating in process improvement initiatives relating to efficiencies, regulatory standards, and overall performance of the Endoscopy Service Line.
  • The ET Coordinator acts as a clinical expert, liaison and assists with overseeing the technical and clinical aspects of the Endosocopy supply chain and equipment acquisition to include but not limited to SCM ordering, receiving, backorders, par level maintenance/ audits, emergency purchases, charge capture, following appropriate processes for failed products, outdates, etc .
  • The Lead Tech Coordinator will participate in training and mentoring of new staff members, enhancing staff skills and knowledge base, assists in identifying staff education needs based on clinical situations and recommends appropriate in-services.
  • The Endoscopy Tech Coordinator will work with Providers, nurses, first assistants and scrub techs to streamline and standardize the service line to improve efficiency and quality of care and be required to maintain Endosocopy tech skills, assisting with Endosocopy procedures on a routine basis, assisting with troubleshooting, setup and breakdown.
  • The ET Coordinator must possess the ability to communicate effectively, effectively collaborate, be self-directed and comfortable with managing multiple responsibilities of the program, including clinical, administrative in making suggestions for capital purchases relating to yearly capital equipment budgeting/planning, educational, and promotional components.
  • The ETC must have the ability to complete other duties as necessary to support the Endosocopy area, including, but not limited to, scrubbing and other support for other service lines as needed. On-call may be required; variable per the Endosocopy unit and staffing.                                                                                                                                                                                                      MINIMUM EDUCATION:
  • High School Diploma and/or equivalent preferred and must be able to function as a clinical expert in the Endoscopy Service Line.
  • Two years Endoscopy tech experience required.
  • Certified as an Advanced Endoscopy Tech through SGNA preferred.
