Description

The facilities management team consists of several specialized groups to meet the needs of Emory Healthcare Facilities. We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic II to support and oversee equipment, patient care, and sustainability. 

 

Shift Time: 6:30a-3p

  • Maintains the safe operation and maintenance of building facilities and has a proven competency in one of the following areas; electrical/wiring, mechanical/HVAC systems, plumbing/pipefitting or Plant Operations/Stationary Engineer.
  • Repairs and adjusts doors, windows, closures, panic devices and locks. Patches holes, installs escutcheons, repairs ceiling and floor tile as needed to maintain building appearance.
  • Makes minor masonry and wood repairs
  • Installs pictures, coat hooks, other wall hung furnishings, and equipment as requested.
  • Performs preventive maintenance activities, responds to customer complaints, and repairs equipment.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in building maintenance.
  • Working knowledge in their area of competency of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, Plant operations, structural, or general carpentry.
  • May require a valid Georgia driver's license and insurable driving record.
  • Some positions within this classification may require the ability to lift 50 pounds and to bend, stoop, and twist.
