Description

  • The Director of Cardiovascular Services will assume responsibility for the efficient and safe operation of the Cardiac Catherization Labs, Electrophysiology Labs, Cardiology post-interventional units and the associated admission recovery area in an acute care facility.
  • The director will be responsible for maintaining effective communication with the cardiologists, cardiac surgeons and other members of the Medical Staff who utilize the services of the department.
  • Responsible for the financial management of cardiac services including budgeting, payroll, and equipment purchases.
  • Responsible for future planning in regard to advances in cardiac procedures and business development.
  • Attends and/or conducts regular meetings with the cardiologists and attends various hospital committee meetings.
  • Responsible for the growth, development and expansion of the eICU program.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree required in a related field. A Master's degree preferred.
  • A combination of education and appropriate experience may be considered, must obtain Bachelor's degree in related field within reasonable timeframe upon hire.
  • A minimum of three (3) years progressive management experience with at least seven (7) years in the field.
  • Must have the ability to analyze and resolve problems in a manner supportive of hospital policy.
  • Must have an understanding of financial and statistical formats.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Must have a high degree of self-motivation and ability to function independently.
  • Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality.
