Description

The Emory Empathetic AI for Health Institute is currently seeking a motivated and talented undergraduate or graduate student to join our team as a Communications Intern. This position offers an exciting opportunity for hands-on experience in communication tasks, including website maintenance, newsletter development, and social media management.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION: 

 

  • Website Maintenance: Update and maintain content on the Institute’s website.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure website content aligns with organizational goals and objectives of the Institute.
  • Conduct regular website audits to identify and address any issues or opportunities for improvement.
  • Newsletter Development:
    • Assist in the creation and design of newsletters to keep stakeholders informed about the Institute’s news, updates, and events.
  • Gather and curate relevant content the Institute.
  • Manage distribution lists and ensure newsletters are sent out in a timely manner.
  • Social Media Management:
    • Develop engaging and relevant content for various social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, X, LinkedIn, Instagram).
    • Monitor social media channels for trends and conversations related to the Institute.
    • Respond to comments and messages, fostering positive engagement with the online community.
  • Position Type: Part-Time (15-20 hours per week)

 

MINIMUN QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with website content management systems (CMS) and basic HTML.
  • Proficient in using social media platforms for business purposes.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to generate engaging content.
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Basic graphic design skills are a plus.

 

NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location.  Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employe
